Pioneer DJ release the 4 channel XDJ-XZ standalone unit

Pioneer DJ XDJ-XZ Standalone controller.

Since the launch of the famous XDJ-RX, DJ's have been asking for a 4 channel version of a standalone controller. Now, Pioneer DJ have answered that call... kind of.

The XDJ-XZ is a cross between the XDJ-RX2 and DDJ-1000 controllers. It will accept your RekordBox prepared USB sticks, and play two tracks simultaneously on channels 1 and 2 of the mixer. The jog wheels on each side are the same, full size ones found on the flagship CDJ2000 NXS2 including tension adjust and including the compact displays found in the DDJ-1000.

These in-jog displays can show you a various amount of information including waveforms, BPM, Key, track position and artwork. While you can only play USB tracks on the first two channels, the other two can be used for external inputs like turntables or CDJ's as well as USB from a computer, including RekordBox and soon Serato DJ.

The mixer section is a full fledged club mixer with 3 band eq per channel, a choice of 4 colour effects per channel and the usual 16 beat effects found on Pioneer DJ mixers including an XY Pad to control them.

Mobile DJs will be happy with the 2 separate mic channels, each have independent 3 band eq as well as talkover and hardware feedback reduction.

The XDJ-XZ has the same 7 inch touch screen found on the XDJ-RX2 with full colour waveform display and keyboard search as well as additional controls.
