The need for a new DJ Show
Inspiration for The DJ Show 2019 came from open evenings co-ordinated by retail partner DJKit.com, held at Newbury Racecourse during 2017 & 2018, and is being organised by ESP Music Disco Ltd in conjunction with DJKit.com. The committed and enthusiastic team at ESP Muisic Disco Ltd have more than 30 years experience in the DJ Industry.
“Our open evenings over the last two years proved a big hit with both attendees and suppliers” commented DJKit’s Director, James Craik. “Feedback from our customers showed that they loved the chance to get hands on with the latest equipment, whilst the brands are committed to getting in front off as many people as possible. Our vision is to hold a vibrant show, which allows all existing and aspiring DJs a chance to experience the latest equipment, get social with other DJ’s and even learn some new skills in order to help them become the DJ they want to be”.
The DJ show is especially aimed at anyone who is a DJ, or is interested in learning more about becoming a DJ. Over the course of the three day event, at which a total of 5000 people are expected to attend, there will be a number of innovative features designed to appeal to a cross section of DJ’s, from experienced club, performance or mobile DJ’s, through to school and college students embarking on GCSE music courses.
Future DJ’s and education
The recent inclusion of DJ decks as a musical instrument, and the art of DJing as a musical skill in GCSE’s, schools across the country are now able to offer courses featuring all of the skills required to become a competent DJ. The DJ Show will be working with Future DJ’s, an organisation which offers visiting tutors across the country, to offer FREE tickets for the DJ Show. As well as the free tickets, there will also be a fantastic competition where pupils can win a chance to showcase their talents on The DJ Show’s main stage!
